Proposed Visit to Chimes Israel

Chimes Israel has been working to improve the quality of life of individuals with special needs of all ages in all sectors of the population, by providing innovative, high quality support and rehabilitation services to people with special needs for 25 years. Opening in 1991 with just one sheltered workshop in Tel Aviv, serving 80 adults with special needs, Chimes Israel expanded its services and today offers over 1,400 clients and their families a continuum of services, in more than 25 facilities and programs.


Based on the belief that every individual has the right to develop to his/her fullest potential, we provide a wide range of high quality, innovative services and individually customized programs, helping our clients use their own abilities and skills to lead a life of dignity and independence and involvement in their community. At Chimes Israel we use an interdisciplinary approach, combining physical, social, psychological and paramedical interventions to improve the quality of life for people, from newborns to seniors, with intellectual, developmental and psychiatric disabilities, regardless of race, nationality or religion.


Summary of Visit:
WorkshopsChimes Israel offers more than 25 programs in centers for rehabilitation, day-care, after-school, employment, leisure and enrichment programs, currently operating in 13 regions: Ariel, Ashkelon, Herzilya, Kfar Saba, Modi’in, Ramat HaSharon, Rosh Ha’ayin, Tayibe, Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Petah Tikva, Netanya, Holon and Rishon LeZion.


A visit to one of our facilities includes:
• A guided tour of the facility
• Meeting with professionals and/or parents
• Learn about our history, mission and vision
• Various volunteering opportunities

Sheltered Workshop (Tel Aviv)
1. Participate in a home economics workshop with our clients
2. Photography Workshop
3. Ceramics Workshop
4. Jewelry Workshop

Sheltered Workshop (Rosh Haayin)
1. Work the assembly line with our clients
2. Join clients in a flower/sweets arrangement workshop at our - Zer Ozer enterprise

Early Childhood Center for children with developmental delays (Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Modi'in-Macabbim-Reut, Ashkelon)
1. "Play" time
2. Tikkun Olam – painting, gardening, etc.
3. Accompany a child in a therapeutic session


your-next-trip-03Target Population for Visit: Visits can be tailored to a variety of people – women, men, families, young adults, professionals in the field of special needs etc.

Length of Visit: Visits are usually best between 8-3 for one to two hours.

Photo and Recording/PR possibilities and Restrictions: Because of the sensitive nature of our clientele, we require that all pictures of clients be taken only after receiving approval from the clients' guardians.
