\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\tIn a large and moving ceremony, we inaugurated the new Chimes Tamar Adult Nursing Day Center building in Ashkelon.\u00a0At the modern and spacious center, people with moderate to severe intellectual and developmental\u00a0receive individualized paramedical, occupational and social services.<\/p>
After years of anticipation and planning, the City of Ashkelon was able to construct the state-of-the-art, accessible building in a prominent location, as an integral part of the city’s community.<\/p>
“Chimes Israel is proud to be part of the realization of this dream and operate a tailored service in an accessible modern building in Ashkelon,\u201d said Jorge Zimmermann, Chimes CEO.\u00a0\u201cWe believe that every person with a disability deserves an equal opportunity to express themselves and their uniqueness, and advance to a better quality of life.\u00a0As a society in general and as an organization, we must do everything in our power to make accessible opportunities and support people with disabilities in realizing their potential.”\u00a0<\/p>
The new building, built with the investment of 13 million NIS, covers more than 1,200 square meters. Public service supporters include the\u00a0Ashkelon Municipality, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Social Affairs, the National Insurance Funds, Mifal Hapayis, and the Shalem Foundation. Private funders include Taman Driving Systems Industries, Philip Morris International, and the Check Point Fund.<\/p>
“I thank G-d that this place exists every single day,\u201d\u00a0said Binyamin Zohar, Chairman\u00a0of the Center\u2019s Parents Committee. \u201cWe parents can now have peace. The new center is a safe and good place with all the necessities.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>
