Without adapted education or guidance, they can struggle with loneliness, low self-confidence, or even vulnerability to exploitation. Subjects such as romance and dating, natural parts of growing up, can become confusing and overwhelming, sometimes leading to frustration or unhealthy development.\n<h2><strong>A Safe Place to Learn and Grow<\/strong><\/h2>\nIn response, Chimes Israel launched a groundbreaking 12-session workshop designed specifically for young men with disabilities. Led by Sapir Ben Dayan, a social worker specializing in couples and family therapy, the program provides a safe and respectful space where participants can openly discuss relationships, intimacy, and personal boundaries. The goal is to equip them with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to build meaningful and healthy connections.\n<h2><strong>Step by Step: From Self-Image to Real Relationships<\/strong><\/h2>\nThe workshop takes participants on a structured journey. It begins with strengthening body image and self-esteem, then moves into understanding personal and social boundaries. From there, participants explore communication skills, dating, and how to tell the difference between healthy courtship and harassment. Later sessions focus on building relationships, recognizing red and green flags, and discussing sexuality with an emphasis on gradual learning, mutual respect, and safety. One vital element includes teaching how to prevent abuse and distinguish between a \u201cgood secret\u201d and a \u201cbad secret.\u201d\n<h2><strong>Real Stories, Real Impact<\/strong><\/h2>\nThe workshop\u2019s impact is best seen in the stories of its participants. One young man, working in a supported workplace, wanted to approach a colleague he admired but didn\u2019t know how. Through the group\u2019s guidance and encouragement, he gained the confidence to start a conversation with her. This simple step reflects the heart of the program: empowering participants to take healthy risks, connect with others, and experience the joy of meaningful relationships.\n<h2><strong>Learning Together: Men and Women in Dialogue<\/strong><\/h2>\nIn the final three sessions, women who had previously completed our self-advocacy and empowerment program were invited to join. This mixed-gender group dialogue model mirrors real social dynamics. It helps participants practice equal, respectful communication. It reduces embarrassment, breaks down stereotypes, and fosters understanding between genders. These skills are essential for creating healthy, long-term relationships.\n<h2><strong>More than Knowledge: A Path to Dignity<\/strong><\/h2>\nThis program provides far more than information. It offers practical skills, confidence, and the chance to create respectful and fulfilling relationships.
