Welcoming a child with a disability brings love and joy, but also unexpected challenges. Parents suddenly face a new reality of diagnoses, therapies, complex needs, and countless questions. How can we communicate with our child? Encourage development through play? Manage challenging behaviors, feeding, and sleep? How do we support siblings and keep our family strong?
FROM CRISIS INTERVENTION TO FAMILY EMPOWERMENT
Chimes Israel’s Families in Growth program began by supporting families in severe crisis, including situations where a young child with a disability was at risk of being removed from the home and placed in foster care.
We discovered that professional support at home could transform family life, strengthen parents, prevent crises, and help children remain safely with their families.
We also learned that the need goes far beyond families already at risk. Every family raising a child with a disability can benefit from practical guidance, confidence, and support.
WE GO WHERE EVERYDAY LIFE HAPPENS — HOME
Our multidisciplinary team includes therapists, social workers, and early childhood specialists.
Working alongside parents in real-life situations, they demonstrate how to communicate with their child, encourage development through play, manage challenging behaviors, build daily routines, strengthen sibling relationships, and promote independence.
Parents observe, practice, and gain confidence. When our professionals leave, the knowledge and tools remain with the family.
A GROUNDBREAKING MODEL RECOGNIZED BY ISRAEL'S MINISTRY OF HEALTH
Israel’s Ministry of Health has recognized Families in Growth as an innovative, groundbreaking program with the potential to be replicated in other rehabilitative daycare centers serving young children with disabilities.
Our vision is to make in-home parent support an essential part of early childhood rehabilitation across Israel.

In 2026–2027, Families in Growth will directly support 30 families, positively impacting approximately 100 parents, siblings, and other family members.
