Resilience Training

Preparing for crisis before it happens

The war made the need for resilience training unmistakably clear. From the first days of the conflict, Chimes Israel’s staff had to manage the safety and emotional well-being of the people in their care while experiencing the same fear, uncertainty, and panic themselves. As sirens sounded and families reached out in distress, we provided resilience training in real time to help staff continue functioning under extreme pressure.
Today, we conduct this training as a preventive measure, recognizing that ongoing instability is a reality in Israel and that preparedness cannot wait for the next emergency.

Supporting those who carry the responsibility of care

Our employees care for people with disabilities in demanding, high-stakes environments, often during security escalations. They must remain calm, focused, and responsive even when conditions around them are unstable. Chimes Israel’s resilience training prepares staff for future crises while protecting against chronic stress and burnout. Staff members support children and adults with complex physical, cognitive, and emotional needs every day. The intensity of this work, combined with repeated exposure to crisis, places them at high risk for exhaustion and burnout.

Building skills that protect continuity of care

Resilience training teaches staff how to anticipate emergencies, understand their roles during a crisis, and operate within clear, coordinated response plans developed specifically for each center. It provides practical tools for managing stress, regulating emotional pressure, and maintaining stability, enabling staff to continue caring for others without compromising their own well-being.

Through this program, each center develops and practices a tailored crisis preparedness plan that clarifies decision-making, communication, and continuity of care during emergencies. Staff learn how to respond effectively when routines are disrupted, how to support service recipients at their cognitive level, and how to maintain professional judgment under pressure.
By strengthening preparedness at both the individual and center level, Chimes Israel ensures that therapeutic services continue safely and consistently, even in times of uncertainty.

Strengthening the organization from within

Resilience training strengthens the people who hold the system together. It creates shared language, clear protocols, and confident leadership across all centers. By addressing stress, burnout, and crisis readiness together, Chimes Israel builds a stronger workforce and a more resilient organization.

This training ensures that those who care for Israel’s most vulnerable are prepared, supported, and equipped to respond when it matters most.
