At Chimes Israel, volunteering begins with a commitment and continues with a bond between people. For over three decades, Chimes Israel has been dedicated to advancing and supporting people with disabilities. Yet, the driving force behind this mission is our community of volunteers. This year, more than ever, countless volunteers gave their time, energy, and hearts to make 2024 a year of impact, kindness, and connection.
The Numbers:
• 65 new volunteers joined us this year, enriching our unique community with fresh energy.
• Together, our volunteers accumulated approximately 70,000 hours of service filled with meaning, caring support, and boundless generosity.
• We organized over 100 days of group volunteering – soldiers, students, employees from business organizations, and more – who came to bring joy, provide care, and connect with our service recipients.
• 75 new collaborations were formed with business partners who joined us because they believed in Chimes’ values and wanted to participate in our social mission.
• Seven businesses, after their initial visit, formed deeper connections with our service recipients and our mission and decided to adopt Chimes for the whole year. We design an annual volunteering program for these businesses that blends enjoyment with meaningful giving.
Beyond the Numbers – The Stories
People of all ages and backgrounds created moments of happiness and joy with our service recipients this year. Volunteer groups contributed not only by improving the physical and operational aspects of our facilities but also through human connections – dancing, creating, and engaging in heartfelt conversations.
Every volunteer who joined, every company that participated, and every day dedicated to volunteering profoundly touched our service recipients. The diverse activities – from building and painting customized furniture to organizing fun days and special events – are tangible examples of how giving your time can transform lives.
